Ο Reviel Netz γεννήθηκε το 1968 στο Τελ Αβίβ. Είναι καθηγητής Κλασικών Σπουδών, Ιστορίας και Φιλοσοφίας της Επιστήμης με ειδίκευση στα προ-μοντέρνα μαθηματικά, στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Στάνφορντ.
